Holland Village

For a Leisurely and Relaxing Evening

The city state of Singapore has witnessed unparalleled development in the last fifty years and boasts one of the strongest economies in the world. A financial centre, Singapore is frequently visited by businessmen who travel for much of their work. However, the emergence of certain top attractions in Singapore has made the country a delight to visit, especially in the last couple of decades. With the establishment of Sentosa Island and its adrenaline filled rides and exciting attractions, tourists and vacationers flock to the country while Orchard Road and its splendid shopping keeps many occupied for hours. In addition to easy access to Orchard Road, tourists staying at Sheraton Towers Singapore can also delight in being centrally located with convenient access to the business district of Singapore as well as a number of other attractions such as the Esplanade Arts Centre. For a healthy selection of food options, one cannot go wrong with Holland Village.

A neighbourhood in the city, Holland Village is an excellent place to spend a leisurely evening. Named after Hugh Holland, an architect who lived in Singapore during the 18th century, the Village is a wonderful place to explore. The heart of the Village will treat visitors to a glimpse of the local architecture while many of the structures house small malls and eateries. One can even opt to rent a house in the Chip Bee Gardens which was formerly a housing scheme for the British Military.

For those who wish to enjoy a relaxing and leisurely evening, food and drink in the area are in abundance. From the few who wish to play it safe and stick to the comfort of familiarity, Holland Village is home to a number of food chains including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, BreadTalk, Subway and Haagen Dazs. For the few who prefer convenience, there is also a market and a food court. For the adventurous and curious traveller, Holland Village is a gem and a number of local treats can be sampled before bidding adieu to the day.
