Planning a Visit

This attraction next to the Singapore Zoo is within a 30-minute taxi ride for those staying at a hotel in Farrer Park including properties like Park Hotel Farrer Park. You can alternatively travel to the Khatib MRT Station and catch the Mandai Khatib Shuttle from there. The site is open from 6:30pm to midnight, though you must book your visit online in advance.

Tram Rides

A great way to see the numerous animals at the Night Safari would be to take a Tram Safari that comes with live commentary. Covering several distinct zones with diverse habitats, this 30-minute experience gives you a chance to encounter Malayan tigers, Himalayan tahrs, Asian elephants, Gir lions, deer, sloth bears, giraffes and more.

Walking Trails

There are also four walking trails to explore; you can spot leopards, lions and Malayan flying foxes along the Leopard Trail and fishing cats, pangolins and the slow loris on the Fishing Cat Trail. The East Lodge Trail is home to creatures like tigers and spotted hyenas, while the Wallaby Trail features cute wallabies and possums.

Other Highlights

Don’t miss the Creatures of the Night Show held several times, with capybaras, civet cats, hyenas, binturongs and otters; arrive early to get the best seats. Also, check to see if special Thumbuakar Performances are taking place when you visit which feature tribal dancers in an exhilarating fire show.
