The seventh edition of SMW is set to take place from 22nd to 27th of April 2012. In addition to the SMW Exhibition and the design competition, this year’s edition will also feature outreach activities including the Amazing Maritime Challenge where visitors can divide into teams to participate in various games and challenges. The competition is jointly organized by the Association of Singapore Marine Industries, the Singapore Shipping Association, MPA and the Singapore Maritime Foundation.
Participants also get the opportunity to showcase their skills by creating designs of containers used in shipping. The MPA is the driving force behind the country’s maritime and port development. It was established with the intention of developing and promoting the region as an international maritime centre and a premier global hub port.
