Universal Studios Singapore

Experience the Glamour and Thrill of Blockbuster Movies

An amusement park situated within Sentosa Island’s Resorts World Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore is the perfect getaway spot for families seeking to have some fun. Featuring shows based on blockbuster hits in addition to over 20 movie-themed rides, it is Southeast Asia’s first and Asia’s second Universal Studios theme park.

At the park’s main entrance is the area known as ‘Hollywood’. Flanked by vibrant architecture and palm trees, this zone is a representation of the well-known Hollywood Boulevard. A Broadway-style theatre is the zone’s main attraction, while it also includes various flagship shops and restaurants. A model of the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame can also be seen here. A special pyrotechnics show called ‘Lake Hollywood Spectacular’ takes place here on Friday and Saturday night with special appearances by characters such as Betty Boop, Beetlejuice, Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Winnie the Pooh, Woody Woodpecker, Frankenstein’s Monster and Po from Kung Fu Panda.

A zone based on the original New York City, ‘New York’ consists of a variety of icons including sidewalks, facades, neon lights and the trademark city skyline. A replica of New York Public Library is also included in this zone.
Based on a historical adaptation of Egypt, during the golden era of Egyptian archeological exploration, is the zone ‘Ancient Egypt’ at the theme park. Featuring pyramids and obelisks which are reminiscent of the atmosphere in ancient Egypt, the zone provides visitors the opportunity to have a taste of the experience of a valiant archaeologist. Pharaohs’ tombs are also featured in this zone, adding to its unique allure. The zone’s setting draws inspiration from portrayals made in the world famous film series ‘The Mummy’.

Inspired by the popular Dream Works Animation’s hit ‘Shrek’, is the zone named ‘Far Far Away’ depicting the daily lifestyle of the fairy-tale characters as shown in the movie. The zone includes plenty of familiar locations from this film franchise such as Hook’s Knight Club, beautiful Romeo Drive of Far Far Away’s castle and Shrek’s swamp house.
Among the other fascinating zones at the park are Sci-fi City, The Lost World and Madagascar, each featuring an array of attractions in keeping with their theme.
