The Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium was initiated to accommodate the famous ‘Jewel of Muscat’, the replica of the Arabian dhow shipwrecked near the Belitung Island. It features a range of interesting exhibits portraying the maritime culture of the east.

The vessel actually sailed in 2010 from Oman to Singapore using its traditional navigational equipment. It had taken the vessel five months to complete the journey.
